"Hey there, I’m Reeves Vaughn. QuadEight wasn’t born from some random brainstorm or Silicon Valley daydream. In fact, I never set out to work in technology or marketing at all. My background was purely relationship sales with a lot red clay construction knowledge. In fact, the most advanced tech thing I’d done was wired surround sound in my living room… by pulling back the carpet and laying down the wires on the slab. Yes it was a little lumpy when stepped on but it worked at the time. But we all evolve over time. Below is a short version of how QuadEight came about."

"I grew up in Mayberry , located in the mountains of North Carolina.. After earning my degree in Business in 1999 from ECU, I packed up for Atlanta and took my first leap into the corporate world with Georgia-Pacific. As a small-town kid, it was a bit of a culture shock. But for six years, I learned the ropes, played the corporate game, and discovered something that stuck with me; software matters. Remember in the late 90's email was developing, and in college I had one class that used it.

At Georgia-Pacific, we used a system called SMART. When a customer called, their entire history popped up on my screen immediately. Then I could navigate through their business information and purchase history. When I entered an order into Smart it would print out in our Charlotte, NC warehouse. I thought wow, this is "high tech".

2005 came; I left GP moved to Charlotte and launched AYS LLC a construction services business. Armed with a Microsoft Office, pen, paper and a Nextel (if you know, you know), I started building AYS from the ground up. Over the next 15 years, AYS grew to over $7 million in annual revenue, serving markets in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greenville, SC. Around 2014, I knew it was time for more sophisticated systems—Excel just couldn’t handle the chaos anymore. I test-drove a parade of CRMs—FreshBooks, Pipedrive, Zapier, AgencyBloc— but the training/support was not there. We were a well-established company with mountains of history… most of it on 8½ x 11" paper. The tech just didn’t match the reality of our operations.

In 2018, we took the leap and hired a software firm called Matterform to build a custom solution. I had to hire two full-time employees just to handle data entry and implementation. It worked, mostly—but it was costly at $120,000 that first year. And while the system had promise, the overhead and COVID-related setbacks became too much. We missed PPP round two by just 3% and eventually closed AYS in 2022. Burnt out and freshly unemployed, I asked myself the question. “Now what?” I loved to work but learned from AYS that relying on hourly labor was tough from many aspects. I had always loved solving problems. And I still believed in my software and my original vision: creating my own version of SMART. to generate income I started working part-time with a financial services company. I quickly noticed they relied heavily on new leads and communication but did not have a CRM. They had the same kind of friction I felt in 2018 just on a smaller scale. That was my sign. I called up Matterform, dusted off the old idea, and QuadEight was born—officially, this time.

Today, QuadEight is a lean, smart CRM built for B2C (Business to Consumer) businesses that need automation, not frustration. It’s the CRM I wished I had in 2018. Only now, it’s got AI baked in, missed-call text-back, Google Reviews and best of all—you don’t need to hire two extra employees just to use it. Turns out, it costs less than one employee would cost you in a month. Actually you need less man power once you hire us." "Are you ready to take control of your marketing and see a positive return?"

"Thank you for reading and I hope you choose to partner with QuadEight; Cheers!"
